LABOR DAY 2013
A NO FEE “FUN RAISER” TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE NORTHEAST’S BEST BIKING!
We call it Paradise – hundreds of miles of open road, dirt road, back road and trail – plus America’s newest Top 100 rail trail. Choose from fifty custom-designed routes that have been prepared for this event, from a flat five-mile family rail trail outing to a thigh-burning Century. Riders will enjoy some of the lowest traffic counts in the northeast as they tour the superbly beautiful valleys of the Connecticut and White Rivers of Vermont and New Hampshire. This event is a fun-raiser – stay with one of our two sponsoring hotels in White River Jct. and you’re on board, and invited to sample local brews after your ride!
Maps and cue sheets will be available to Comfort Inn and Super 8 guests from June 1st through the summer. Come and see why the Upper Valley is truly a bicycling paradise.
EVENT HOST & ROUTE PLANNER
DICK MACKAY, author of Adventures in Paradise, Exploring the Upper Connecticut Valley of Vermont & New Hampshire (On a Bicycle!), and Chair of the local area Northern Rail Trail committee. He will be available for recommending routes (and pubs!) throughout the event. Each participant will receive a copy of his book.
